The Story Behind This Map:
My wife and I answered yes to all the above, and that's when the idea for The Great Seneca Lake Winery Touring Map came to us. We live in and love the Finger Lakes Region of New York, yet we found ourselves admiring it from a distance. We hadn't ventured out enough to enjoy the area where we'd spent the last 20+ years raising our family.
And here's the secret that shouldn't be a secret... These small, privately owned wineries all up and down Seneca Lake are the perfect spot to check all those boxes above. My wife and I love supporting local small businesses, and visiting the small wineries on Seneca Lake is the perfect way to unwind and reconnect with each other after a busy work week.
How It Works - Your Interactive Wine Adventure:
This Seneca Lake Winery Touring Map is your roadmap to adventure and staying connected, and we've added a fun twist! Not only have we designed a map showing you all the great winery locations on Seneca Lake, but we've made it an exciting 'date afternoon' activity to try them all over the season.
- Pick a Winery: You and your partner pick a wine bottle stopper out of the canvas bag (included)
- Visit the Winery: Head out for an afternoon together exploring that winery
- Fill Your Map: When you're back, insert the stopper into the corresponding hole on the map
- Watch It Grow: Hang the map on your favorite wall and watch it slowly fill as you build a beautiful piece of art together
Each of the 26 winery locations is a hole on the map that you fill as you log your visits. The map and wine stoppers ship together, but none of the holes are filled when it arrives - that's the fun part!
