We live in and love the Finger Lakes Region of New York and yet we found ourselves admiring it from a distance. We hadn't ventured out enough and enjoyed the area that we had spent the last 20+ years in raising our family.
And here's the secret that shouldn't be a secret... These small privately owned small wineries all up and down Seneca Lake are the perfect spot to check all those boxes above. My wife and I love supporting local small business and visiting the small wineries on Seneca Lake is the perfect answer to unwind and reconnect with each other after a busy work week and all of the mundane activities that keep us moving and occupied in separate corners of the house.
This Seneca Lake Winery Touring Map is your roadmap to adventure and staying connected and we've added a fun twist. Not only have we designed a map showing you all the great winery locations on Seneca Lake, but we've made it an exciting 'date (night) afternoon' activity to try them all over this next season.
Each of the winery locations is a hole on the map that you fill as you log your visits. Accompanying the map are 23 wine bottle stoppers with the logo and name of each of the Seneca Lake wineries that fit perfectly in the holes. The map and the wine stoppers ship together in the same box, but none of the holes in the map are filled when it arrives.
And that's the fun part... you and your partner can pick a wine stopper out of the canvas bag (included with your purchase) and get out for the afternoon together. When you're back, insert the stopper into the map.
Hang the map on your favorite wall where you will both see it every day. As the season goes on and you've set aside time for each other with these little excursions, your map slowly fills as you build a great piece of art to look at together and remember your adventures.
