For all you Finger Lakes fans, (I'm a huge fan myself!), I have designed a number of different styles of laser engraved Finger Lakes Maps.
This Bathymetric Lake Map style, highlighting the lake depths, is one of my favorites. Each of these maps are all sized identically and all eleven Finger Lakes are available. Make your selection in the drop down menu.
This four-layer map design of the Finger Lakes measures 11.75" wide x 17.5" and comes with picture frame hangers on the back. This design also contains the following layers:
Bottom Layer: I've found a wonderful contrasting Lake-Blue color which pairs so well with the other layers. The bottom layer is painted MDF with laser engraved lake depth rings (varying by lake choice). Some maps have a few more depth rings but generally all have at least four.
Layer One: The main layer is a golden brown Maple Plywood which contains a number of roads and town names all significant to the specific Finger Lake area. I've also added route symbols, GPS coordinates and a Compass Rose.
Frame Layer: The top layer is a dark rich brown Walnut frame that complements the Maple and Lake blue colors wonderfully.
Lake Name Layer: The finishing touch on these maps is the finger lake name in engraved maple that I emboss on the walnut frame. This gives the lake map a bit more contrast and pop.
