Hemlock Lake is one of the minor Finger Lakes. It is mostly located in Livingston County south of Rochester with some parts extending into Ontario County.

Hemlock Lake is about seven miles long, one-half mile wide and has a maximum depth of just over 90 feet.  Since the lake is used as a water source for the Rochester area, swimming is not permitted and boat access is restricted.

Fishing is a major draw for the lake as it contains salmon, rainbow and brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth and largemouth bass, perch, walleye, and other species.

This three-layer laser engraved map measures approximately 12" x 16-3/4" and has three layers.  The bottom layer is hand-painted blue with score lines showing off the contours of differing depths.  The golden maple layer illustrates some of the surrounding roads and attractions as well as the latitude and longitude coordinates.  The top layer of walnut is an excellent contrast to the maple and deep blue color.
